St Edmund's Church, Taverham
Who we are

St Edmund’s is a community of people living in and around Taverham who meet on Sunday’s or during the week to worship God and learn together.  Everyone is really welcome!

Our main services on Sundays are at 8.00am and 10.30am.

We believe God calls each of us to live in his truth, and welcomes each of us to meet with him.  As a church we are rooted in our neighbourhood and also sharing in God’s concerns for his world.

We are a church of all ages and backgrounds. By coming together we encourage each other to be rooted in Christ, to grow together in faith through the Bible, and to be enabled to reach out to others in the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Many of us meet on Sunday mornings in the church building, and others meet together in groups and different meeting places around Taverham.

The members of our church team at St Edmund’s include:

  • Rector: The Revd Paul Seabrook
  • Assistant Priest: The Revd Phil Charlesworth

  • Parish Evangelist: Rachel Seabrook
  • Prayer Co-ordinator: Sue Weatherburn
  • Churchwarden: Sue Beevor
  • Deputy Churchwarden: Val Hooker

We also have a Pastoral Visiting Team who help to show Christ’s care and love to those who are housebound or bereaved and a Prayer Ministry Team who are available for prayer after the 10.30am service on Sunday mornings and at other times.

We are part of the Diocese of Norwich in the Church of England.

We are also members of Churches Together in Taverham, Thorpe Marriott and Drayton, and take an active role in our partnership in the Gospel in our community.
